New Balance is releasing another archival sneaker this year, returning 1999’s 1000 running shoe to its catalog. After a teaser of JoeFreshGoods’ take on the model, a new “White” colorway emerged this week.

Early this year, New Balance hosted an event in Paris showcasing some upcoming styles and models for the new year. Their notable collaborator JoeFreshGoods was in attendance, and so was an early look at his next project, featuring the 1000 model. Originally released in 1999, the chunky running shoe is coming back for a full retro rollout this year, twenty-five years after its introduction. This week, we got our first full look at the model in a new colorway, showing off its swooping overlay panels and bulbous midsole, similar to the 9060. The initial colorway casts the upper in a grey underlay with white synthetic overlays, adding accent colors in pink, green, and blue.
