Nike’s Space Hippie series is here to stay. After the line’s initial debut over the Summer, the 04 silhouette has continued to drop in new colorways over the past several months, surfacing this week in a new “Miami”-themed colorway for its next release.
Nike’s Space Hippie line debuted earlier this summer and is already a hit. Previewed early in the year at the Swoosh’s Future Forum in New York, the Space Hippie collection aims to turn trash into very cool sneakers by transforming excess and waste materials into fresh components. Hallmarks of the line include a Flyknit upper, unique lacing systems, encapsulated ZoomX midsoles, and Crater Foam, a new rubber sole material made from Nike’s various cushioning foams ground up and encased in Grind rubber. This week, Nike continues to release the recycled sneakers in new colorways, giving the 04 silhouette a “Miami”-themed makeover. The look begins with a largely grey upper for the low-top Space Hippie model, switching to bright teal blue for the toe box’s inner paneling. Thick pink threads stand out on the other side of the toe, as well as helping to create the 04’s lacing system along the tongue. Finally, teal Nike branding across the heel tab completes the look.

Nike’s latest colorway of the recycled Space Hippie 04 has not yet been announced for release, though we expect the “Miami”-themed look to hit shelves sometime in the coming weeks. The Space Hippie 04 will be available from both Nike and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $130.
