Kith is expected to open its latest store on May 31st, with a new location in Seoul, South Korea. For the occasion, they’ve teamed up with Asics for a special pair of the GEL-Lyte III, coming soon.
Ronnie Fieg’s relationship with Asics goes back well over a decade, when he was still managing footwear at David Z, and got the opportunity to create some special colors for their stores with the Japanese brand. Since starting Kith, Fieg has produced dozens of projects with the running brand under both the Kith name and his own.
This week, Fieg unveiled his next release of the GEL-Lyte III, which will celebrate the opening of Kith in Seoul, South Korea. The pair sets its backdrop with smooth grey suede, adding a stitched quilted pattern for the toes and midfoot panels. Darker shades of grey make up the Asics branding and inner linings, while the mudguard consists of a dark red heel, blue mid-section, and black toe to represent colors on the South Korean flag, all cast in shaggy suede.
