New York City’s Irak is back with another sneaker collaboration this year, teaming up with Converse this time around for a Gore-Tex-lined edition of the iconic One Star. Pairs come in navy blue and brown, and are coming soon.
Irak has been a hugely influential graffiti collective in NYC since their start in the late ’90s. With dozens of members over their multiple decades of activity, the name Irak is well known in the Big Apple, and can be found everywhere in downtown. Over the last few years, the crew has begun to lend their eye for design and colors to sneaker collaborations, teaming up mainly with adidas for special releases.
This month, they have a new partnership in footwear, working with Converse on their debut project launching later this month. The silhouette of choice for this release is the One Star, the iconic low-top trainer. The Irak project features the shoe’s Gore-Tex version, and comes in either navy blue or brown suede uppers, with dual IRAK and Gore-Tex branding near the toes.

The new collaboration from New York’s Irak and Converse has been scheduled to release later this month, on October 22nd, 2024. Featuring the One Star Gore-Tex in either dark navy blue or medium brown colors, pairs will be available from both partners as well as Nike’s SNKRS app for $110.
