Australian retailer Hype DC is celebrating twenty-five years in business in 2023, and doing so in style. This week, the store unveiled their latest project with New Balance, which honors their long-standing relationship with a special-edition ‘Native Dynamics’ color scheme of the 2002R. The pair takes is color inspiration from Australia’s bio-diverse landscape, starting the shoe off with a white mesh base for the upper. The shoe’s mid layers are added in pink leather and shaggy brown suede, with a lighter tan suede making up the outermost layers of the silhouette. The ‘N’ logos come in two shades of pink, while accents along the midsoles and heel tabs add a pop of bright purple. Finally, three sets of laces offer some customization, with options of tan, striped tan, and striped purple.
