Houston rapper Don Toliver has announced hir first-ever sneaker collaboration today. The artist has teamed up with BAPE to design his own colorway of their Road Sta silhouettee, dressing the shoe in a pink & purple combo.
BAPE has ramped up their sneaker releases over the last few years, adding a wealth of new silhouettes to their offerings, especially in the wake of their recent legal troubles with Nike. One of their newer models is the Road Sta, a sleek silhouette inspired by some retro running models, and resting on top of a visible air bag insert in the heels. This week, Houston rapper Don Toliver has teased his take on the shoe, coming soon.
Don Toliver has been hard at work in the music industry over the last few years, often as a heavy hitting feature in addition to his solo work. As a member of the Cactus Jack family, the rapper likely has a lot of connections in the sneakers and streetwear world, and is flexing them this season with his debut sneaker; the BAPE Road Sta. Teasing his take via IG this morning, the rapper has painted the shoe in a bright cotton candy pink shade, with purple laces and star logos. The whole shoe comes in patent leather for a shimmering effect.

The first collaboration between Don Toliver and BAPE has not been officially announced yet, but a release is currently expected for sometime in December 2024. The cotton candy bubble gum pink and purple look will likely be available exclusively through BAPE channels. No retail price is currently known.
