Bape and Neighborhood are no strangers to collaborating together. Often, they even bring a third partner into the mix, and this month, it appears adidas is on tap. Check out the NBHD x Bape x adidas NMD_TS1, coming soon.
The adidas NMD_TS1 is just beginning its tenure in the Originals footwear arsenal. The new shoe was first teased earlier this year, before making its debut over the Summer as part of a project with Japan’s Mita Sneakers. Since then, the TS1 has released in partnership with Gore-Tex, as well as receiving a handful of general release colorways. Now, the mid-cut silhouette will receive a luxurious makeover courtesy of Japan’s Bape and Neighborhood.
Bape and NBHD have chosen a relatively simple, yet striking new look for their collaborative NMD_TS1. The Primeknit upper begins in a dark grey tone, with jagged curving overlays in black. The pattern added to the silhouette is reminiscent of Juice’s Alienegra NMD_Racer from earlier this year, though the look is much less dense for Bape and NBHD’s pair. The midfoot of the shoe is adorned with a lightning bolt-like overlay above the midsole, painted in bright yellow to add a pop of color to the shoe. Finally, the TS1’s signature NMD detailing comes in black, while dual branding from the collaborators decorates the shroud tongue piece.
The Neighborhood x Bape x adidas NMD_TS1 has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to drop sometime in the coming months. The special silhouette has not yet been named as part of a special project either, though this is subject to change. Given the nature of the collaborators at hand, these NMD_TS1’s could be a Japanese exclusive, though there is no evidence to suggest this yet.
