atmos has been at the forefront of sneaker collaborations for years, teaming up with a range of brands for regular limited-edition releases. This month, they are giving the New Balance 1906D a “Deep Sea” inspired makeover.
New Balance’s retro release of the 1906 silhouette has been a massively popular decision over the last few years, following closely on the heels of their 2002 runner revival in 2020. Both shoes have found immense fanbases thanks to their retro styling and endless comfort, as well as plenty of different colorways and collaborations to choose from. This month, Japanese retailer atmos is giving their take on the 1906D silhouette.
The 1906D silhouette is the style of the shoe we’ve come to know as the “Protection Pack”. Marked by its jagged-edged panels, all pairs freaturing the rough edges have been popular releases, and now atmos is giving their take on the 1906 with a “Deep Sea” inspired color scheme. The pair features various shades of navy blue across its mesh and suede layered upper, with a hint of light blue peaking out from underneath.

atmos’ new special-edition release with New Balance does not have a release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime in December 2024. Dressed in a palette of blues for the “Deep Sea” look, pairs will likely be available exclusively through the Japanese retailer.
