The Jordan retro series regularly reissues some of their most iconic models, revisiting original releases for the modern day. This week, we have word that the Air Jordan 5 OG “Black Metallic” is now set for a Spring 2025 return.
The Air Jordan 5 has been one of the most iconic shoes worn by Michael Jordan since its original release in 1990. Since then, Jordan Brand has reissued some of the silhouette’s classic colorways as well as new styles, though the original releases are still some of the best. This week, news surfaced that an OG colorway of the AJ5 would see another release early next year, the “Black Metallic” pair from 1990. The color scheme last released in 2016, before popping up in a golf-ready style in 2020. Dressed in black nubuck with metallic silver accents for the tongues, along with icy blue outsole accents, the iconic look will likely get an elevated construction for the new release.
