The Air Jordan 4 NRG Will Take on a New “Raptors” Colorway Soon

The Air Jordan 4 is set to celebrate it’s 30th anniversary next year. However, it appears Jordan Brand has prepared a special edition of the coveted silhouette in a Toronto Raptors colorway. While no date is specified, the shoe is expected this year.

The Air Jordan 4 is one of the most favored silhouettes from Jordan Brand. First released in 1989, the Jordan 4 will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2019. With such a tremendous occasion on the horizon, the brand is sure to have some serious heat coming our way. This week, we got our first look at an upcoming Air Jordan 4 Retro NRG colorway. The shoe follows a Toronto Raptors theme, beginning with a black suede base for the entire upper. Red is added to the signature Jordan 4 eyelets and interior tongue lining for a touch of color, as well as on the heel and toe of the outsole. Finally, the midsole is painted a bright purple tone to complete the “Raptors” theme. While no official release information regarding the Air Jordan 4 Retro NRG “Raptors”, the new colorway is rumored to release sometime in 2018. However, given the premium nature of the shoe and with the anniversary celebration just around the corner, don’t be surprised if the Jordan 4 “Raptors” is pushed back into 2019.
