The Air Jordan 1 is on fire right now. After taking over 2018 with 30+ fantastic releases, the legendary silhouette is continuing to shine in 2019 already. However this week, an interesting new take suddenly appeared online. Check out the Air Jordan 1 Defiant.
The Air Jordan 1 has taken on dozens of shapes and sizes since the original release in 1985. While most variations continue to sell well, the sneakerhead portion of the market is always waiting on the Jordan 1 High OG releases. This title essentially signifies that this release is going to be as close in quality and shape to the original as Nike can muster 34 years later. While the last two years have been bursting with these fan-favorite special releases, Jordan Brand has decided to introduce something slightly new to the mix in 2019.
This week, we’ve had our first look at the Air Jordan 1 High OG Defiant, a new look for the silhouette which features a standard Jordan 1 with a bold splash of color across the Swoosh on either side. Looking at the first colorway scheduled to release, it pretty much looks like someone started to paint a Supreme box logo on the side of an Air Jordan 1 and gave up after the box. The reception for the new look has been great so far, but we’ll have to wait for a more in-depth look before calling it one way or another.
