While Three Stripe fans have fallen accustomed to expecting a trail-inspired Yung-1, adidas looks to be taking the silhouette off the rugged terrain and sending it to the jungle with this exotic “Night Jungle” pack.
The Yung-1 has been a sneaker that has yet to cross over i to being a huge silhouette for adidas but that’s not to say its career has been short of successful. While adidas fans love the chunky retro-inspired look, it has yet to gather the attention of non-sneakerheads like other shoes have. Maybe thats what adidas is going for with this new “Jungle Pack” that adds snakeskin and cheetah pony hair on overlays throughout the upper that will be guaranteed to get attention.
Each pair arrives with a black upper that features Tonal Three Stripes branding on the midfoot. They both showcase snakeskin overlays and soft cheetah print but the exotic prints differ in location on each iteration. The purple edition arrived with black snakeskin overlays all throughout and dark cheetah print around the ankles while the teal colorway allows lighter cheetah print to flood the midfoot and toe paneling. Another example of doing the opposite, each one has a split-midsole, one with purple in the heel and black at the toe and the other with teal at the toe and black at the heel. Each takes on their design rather nicely and offers a fresh mew take to the silhouette.
