the adidas Ultra Boost has dropped in hundreds of styles and colorways at this point, but a fresh new twist is never unappreciated. This month, the Three Stripes has an entire UB collection themed after New York Bodegas.
The adidas Ultra Boost is one of the brand’s best shoes of the last five years, and by now there are plenty of pairs to go around. However, every time a new “Multicolor” iteration pops up, fans of the silhouette go crazy, doing anything to secure their bright new pair of Ultra Boost. This month, adidas is bringing the vibrant multi-look to a variety of Ultra Boost silhouettes, including the standard 4.0, X, and the most recent Laceless model.
The new adidas Ultra Boost “Multicolor” pack is one of the brand’s most interesting UB releases to date. Most of this comes from the inspiration behind the new multicolor Primeknit hues, which is rooted in the neon storefronts and colorful interiors of New York City bodegas. The pack features two main color schemes, one setting the rainbow threads against a light grey background, and the other contrasting them with a darker black base. While the two colorways are represented separately for the Laceless and ATR Ultra Boost models, the women’s X breaks from the norm, acting as the lighter colorway to the standard UB 4.0.
Alongside the announcement of their new Ultra Boost collection, adidas Running has set up a giveaway system for NYC residents to get their hands on the colorful new kicks.
