The Samba has been on a strong run over the last year, returning as one of adidas’ most popular models in 2024. They’ve started to release more upscale versions of the classic silhouette, with a “Black Pony” style coming in Spring 2025.
The Samba OG will continue to be a main piece of adidas’ lifestyle catalog next year, with the Three Stripes lining up a number of fresh styles for 2025. After a red hot 2024 filled with collaborations and new twists on the iconic trainer, adidas has slowly ramped up luxury versions of the shoe, from their releases with Wales Bonner to an in-house Made in Italy version.
This week, another premium style of the Samba has emerged, but this pair, as of now, will not run you an exorbitant price tag. The new look comes dressed almost entirely in black pony hair, with leather accents for the tongues, heels, and stripes. The latter two of these come in a crisp off-white shade, while metallic gold detailing is added to the eyelets and tongue badges, while a gum sole completes the look.

adidas’ new upscale pair of the Samba OG has not been given a set release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime in Spring 2025. Dressing the shoe in a black pony hair upper with gold detailing, pairs will be available directly from the Three Stripes and select retailers for an expected $120.
