adidas Debuts The New LightBlaze in Eight Different Colors

adidas has been pushing their new LightStrike cushioning technology for a few years now. First introduced in their premier running lines, the tech has made its way into lifestyle models, like the new LightBlaze trainer, available now.

The lifestyle sneaker industry is rooted in performance footwear, particularly in the running category. Nike, New Balance, and adidas, three of the most prominent brands in the sneaker world of the last decade, all started as performance running brands, evolving into the powerhouses we know today. Each brand has poured decades of research and development into their running shoes, fro, which the technology trickles down to the more casual-wear designs, like adidas’ new LightBlaze trainer.

The new LightBlaze shoe from adidas is primarily based around one thing: their LightStrike technology. The cushioning foam first appeared in their running shoes several years ago, and has evolved to become their go-to midsole material across, running, basketball, and now lifestyle. The new silhouette is built on a mountain of the stuff, with a sculpted, eye-catching midsole that mimics their running models. The upper features a mesh, leather, and suede build with some unique paneling for an aggressive new style.

The LightBlaze made its debut this week, and has landed in a total of 15 different colorways across two versions, one built on a mens’ last and the other on womens’ lasts. While they are nearly identical, the mens’ pair adds a huge Three Stripe branding to the outer forefoot of each shoe, which adds another panel for color blocking.
