Action Bronson’s first releases with New Balance finally landed this season, bringing colorful takes of the 990v6 to life. Last week, he teased another project in the works, this time using the 1906R as his canvas.
Action Bronson’s journey into the world of footwear has been a long time coming. First, he was set to release several pairs of the adidas UltraBoost before the Three Stripes canceled their partnership. Then, Baklava started wearing a lot of New Balance sneakers before teasing his first partnership with them. Two colorways of the 990v6 are on the market, with the ‘Lapiz Lazuli’ pair, which was released last year. However, during a Paris Fashion Week performance last week, the Queens-born artist and TV host showed off another potential NB project featuring the 1906R. Once again, the look is colorful, beginning with a yellow base layer in a unique mesh material. Flashes of orange appear on the toes and inner lining, while a neon green heel counter wraps around the rear. The look is finished with dark grey overlays, matching the color of the tongues and midsoles.

Action Bronson’s three-piece collection of New Balance 1906R colorways releases this Spring, 2024. The “Rosewater” pair was released on May 31st, the “Scorpius” pair was released on June 7th, and the Medusa Azul pair was released on June 21st. All three pairs will be available from the rapper’s website and possibly through official NB channels.
