Nike’s Air Max 98 has returned to the delight of sneakerheads everywhere. Heavily layered and covered in different textures and striking pieces, the 98 has garnered a cult following over the years due to its sleek yet aggressive look. This year, the silhouette celebrates its twentieth anniversary, an almost impossible record of time in the design world. After the retro releases of several original colorways from the 90’s Nike has prepared something entirely new for the Air Max 98.
The Nike Air Max 98 “Tiger Camo” is a wildly combative colorway for the coveted silhouette. Each unique layer of the upper is covered in a different color of the infamous camouflage pattern. To begin, the central sections of this special 98 mix shades of brown to create the jagged-striped pattern that gives the shoe its name. The thicker piece of material wrapping around the sole comes in a brown and green mix, while the tongue sets itself apart with a black & white checkerboard look.
