Air Jordan 17
The most expensive Air Jordan to date when they released in February of 2002, the Air Jordan 17 offered a free-flowing design inspired by jazz music — and was packed full of tech too, offering the brand’s first-ever Tuned Air cushioning system. For a memorable finishing touch, the Air Jordan 17 also came packaged in a metal briefcase with a CD-ROM.
2024 was a huge year for the silhouette, bringing its first-ever retro treatments. The Air Jordan 17 Low “Lightning” went first at the end of May, arriving for a NBHD-only retail release with a $300 retail price. The “UNC” colorway then followed on August 28th, sharing a $300 retail price, a NBHD (partnering retailer) release and the commemorative briefcase from that May drop.
In 2025, further in-line retro efforts are unclear, but we do know that the silhouette will enjoy a rare collaboration when the Infinite Archives Jordan 17, set be a two-pair capsule, materializes.
