The Jordan Nu Retro 1 Receives A “Purple Toe” Color Scheme

As a relic from 2002, the Jordan Nu Retro 1 had long been forgotten by many sneaker enthusiasts. The silhouette returned for its 20th anniversary, however, delivering nostalgia for savvy and new fans alike.

Ahead of summer, the reimagined Air Jordan 1 has appeared in a new purple, white, and black color scheme. Reminiscent of the “Purple Toe” High and Low options from 2018 and 2019, respectively, the latest Nu Retro 1 features purple flair at the toe box and lower heel. A pitch black tone covers the majority of the space in between both areas, with white, enlarged “Wings” logos covering the lateral mid-foot. Underfoot, the skate shoe-like sole unit opts for a two-tone arrangement that sees most of the outsole animated in a purple hue; a zone underneath the ball of the foot introduces an icy, semi-translucent touch.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch soon.
