It’s hard to undersell just how much Kyrie Irving signing with ANTA has impacted the diversification of sneaker brands in the NBA. More and more of the league’s top hoopers have made the jump to Chinese brands since, making for the most wide-ranging and intriguing sneaker era the NBA has ever seen.
Malik Monk is one of many players to make the switch, formalizing a deal with Chinese brand PEAK in early 2025 (he previously signed with Nike during his rookie season). With a new season now underway, it hasn’t taken long for one of his PEAK sneakers to catch our eye. Here we have the AW Big Triangle 4.0 “Dragon Scale,” featuring an iridescent upper and heel clip with large scales that puff out like wings. Monk’s signature logo is worked into the tongue, while purple accents tie in perfectly with Sacramento Kings jerseys.
This is a PE version, but this very same model can be copped through PEAK overseas. See detailed images below and stick with us as we break down more NBA sneaker finds throughout the season.
