Those with a penchant for all-black NB fare will know by know that the Boston brand isn’t afraid of issuing plenty of adjacent takes on the same concept, even within the same silhouette. We’ve seen that with a host of New Balance 9060 “Black Cat” variations, but saw once again that on display in recent days as another New Balance 2010 of that ilk surfaced.
All of that brings us to a novel variation of the New Balance 1000 “Black Cat,” following up an all suede build that hit the newswire at the top of 2025. Shifting to synthetics on the topmost “wave” on the sides is obviously the biggest jump, but the touches of white in the branding notes also marks a divergence, stopping short of the comprehensive layout we saw in that previous take. Glossy touches in the rear cushioning, back tab, and “N” branding at the quarter add some closing flash.
The New Balance 1000 “Black Cat” is due out on November 15, retailing for $150. Catch official images and watch our “Where To Buy” widget for direct pick-up links upon arrival.
