The OKC Thunder brought out some serious heat for their championship ring ceremony. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander debuted a “Banner” colorway of his signature Converse SHAI 001, Chet Holmgren popped out in his upcoming Nike KD 18, and Jalen Williams wore a special, bedazzled player-edition version of his go-to adidas model.
Jalen Williams has been a strong champion of James Harden’s signature adidas line since entering the NBA, something we saw with the release of his first-ever sneaker, a player edition Harden Vol. 9, earlier this year. The Vol. 9 is once again in focus here, taken in a mismatched colorway worthy of the championship stage. One shoe features a gold exterior with white stripes, while the other features a white exterior with gold stripes. J-Dub’s adidas logo appears on the tongue pull tab, while a graphic depicting his three-point celly and jersey number hits the heel tab. His jersey number makes additional appearances in gold on the toe box, while the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy is featured on the forefoot portion of the outsole.
Jalen Williams doesn’t have his own signature sneaker yet, but with adidas athletes like James Harden and Dame Lillard approaching the twilight of their careers, J-Dub is far and away the strongest candidate to inherit a signature line — especially if the Thunder’s first championship win evolves into a dynasty.
As of now, Williams’ adidas Harden Vol. 9 “Ring Ceremony” PE isn’t expected to release publicly. See detailed images below and hit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse hoops shoes you can actually cop.
