Fans of the Air Jordan 11 were once resigned to have only one yearly option, typically the centerpiece of the Jordan Brand release calendar and a drop that was far from easy to hit pay-dirt with. As the Jumpman enterprise has grown, fans of Mike’s iconic silhouette have been treated to far more options, but 2025 is the biggest step yet. A reportedly location-specific collection adds to that end-of-year drop in the Air Jordan 11 “Gamma Blue,” while the Air Jordan 11 “Rare Air” serving as an appetizer to that deluxe-sized slate.
Inspired by the inexact nature of the sampling process and the often fly-by-night nature of the product that came from it in the early days of the brand, the “Rare Air” series has already brought navy and red versions of the Air Jordan 1, Jordan 3, and Jordan 4 to the public. Each carry subtle tweaks on their branding notes to help push their takes above just simple color-ups; the AJ1 wears “incorrect” Wings logos, the AJ3 carries reversed Nike Air brands, and the AJ4 has a slew of customizable tongue patches.
Shift to the topic at hand, and the Air Jordan 11 “Rare Air” finds its narrative tweaks running down the midline. The sideways “JORDAN” text jumps onto the eyelets, leaving the tongue in clean white leather. Outside of that compositional touch, the arrangement is pretty easy to parse; navy patent leather combines with a fiery embroidered Jumpman to create the trademark palette, while a partially aged outsole hits on the “archival” concept at play.
The Air Jordan 11 “Rare Air” releases this October 2025 for $235, with Grade School sizes also confirmed. Catch the full suite of official images included below and keep a watchful eye on our Jordan Releases 2025 page for the latest on this and all upcoming pairs.
