Stone Island Brings Its “Ghost” Concept To The New Balance 574

Pavement warriors, rejoice. Made famous by UK hooligans and later embraced by the world, Italian luxury imprint Stone Island is expanding its New Balance portfolio with three monochrome 574 styles set to release on September 23rd.

Stone Island has collaborated on the New Balance 574 twice since beginning its partnership with the brand in 2021 — first in 2023, and again in 2024 with two colorways. Their latest project takes a different approach, drawing inspiration from the Stone Island “Ghost” concept, which emphasizes monochrome products with tonal badges instead of the brand’s standard black-and-yellow patch. The New Balance 574 receives a fresh upper featuring minimal visible stitching, with nearly the entire sneaker covered in smooth suede. The lone exceptions are the “N” logos, back-tabs, and Stone Island tongue badges, all constructed from a hairier suede.

The Stone Island New Balance 574 “Ghost” collection will be available September 23rd in three monochrome colorways: black, grey, and brown. To purchase online, shoppers must log in to a Stone Island account and register for the release event through the dedicated form under the “My Stone Island” tab. The sneaker will also be available in-store at Stone Island locations and select boutiques such as Dover Street Market.
