Action Bronson introduced us to a never-before-seen New Balance 1906R style when he dropped his “Rosewater” collab last year, debuting a new synthetic upper that’s since returned on more third-party projects and a handful of inline releases. While not given a unique identifier like other members of the 1906 family, it’s clearly a profile New Balance wants to continue exploring. Exhibit A; this white and black New Balance 1906R “No Sew” pegged for Fall 2025.
The techy properties of the 1906R remain in tact, although the materials used differ greatly from the model’s usual composition. A layer of grid-patterned synthetic material completely overtakes the upper, decorated with reinforced areas featuring markings in place of leather/suede overlays. Pull laces bring a utilitarian element into the fold, jointly producing a Salomon sort of vibe in tandem with the key texture swap.
New Balance actually has a handful of “New Sew” 1906Rs releasing during the Fall 2025 window; this “White/Black” colorway as well as a yet-to-be-seen all-black version. Budget for a $155 MSRP if you’re interested in scooping a pair.
