Though the official start of summer is still ahead of us, some scorchers already in the Northern Hemisphere have precipitated a shift in wardrobes towards brighter fare already. With breathability an equally crucial factor in meeting demands of sweltering temperatures, it’s prime time for models like the ASICS GEL-NYC, issuing a vibrant “Oatmeal / Bisque” combination in the coming weeks.

Though maybe an unorthodox lunch order, the interplay between the off-white “Oatmeal” and sprightly “Bisque” on this pair goes off without a hitch, the former taking up most of the real estate while the latter courses in between in leather underlays. While executing an understated overall profile, the tangerine shade does also provide the liveliest notes overall, coming with the exposed GEL units in the midsole.

This pair also surfaces as the model percolates in the ASICS catalog more abstractly, an member of a growing set of unorthodox collaborator-designed models that’ve streamed out to the mainline; now joined by the ASICS GEL-K1011 or ASICS GEL-Kayano 12.1.

While the ASICS GEL-NYC “Oatmeal/Bisque” doesn’t have a concrete release date at the time of this writing, you can reasonably expect this pair to come available via ASICS.com in the near future. Upon arrival, a $130 MSRP is likely.
