The Nike Air Max Plus is putting its cushioning package front and center for Summer/Fall 2025. Following images of a men’s colorway featuring large “TUNED AIR” text, we’ve uncovered two upcoming grade school options that have the same defining quality.
First utilized on Sean McDowell’s Air Max Plus in 1998, Tuned Air technology revolutionized Nike’s application of Air. Several models continued the Tuned Air lineage in the 90s and early 2000s, and even today, it’s not hard to trace the TN’s influence on models like the Air Max Dn and Air Max DN8. Essentially, the technology uses two air chambers with different pressures to shift impact from heel to forefoot, adding bounce and cushioning.
Loudly and proudly, these grade school TNs feature large, stenciled over-branding up top. The lateral side reads “TUNED” and the medial side reads “AIR,” all of which is made visible by clear TPU overlays. One colorway comes in “Wolf Grey/Black,” while the other takes on a more simple “Black/University Blue.”
If interested, expect these to land Summer/Fall 2025 for $145 in grade school sizes. See official images below and hit our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more Nikes.
