“Hyper Royal” Courses Through The Nike Air Max TL 2.5

Did you forget about the Nike Air Max TL 2.5? We couldn’t necessarily fault you for losing track of its retro effort; it’s always a tough needle to thread for Nike to balance all of their retro product, but the TL 2.5 sadly abuts a few other silhouettes that’ve got more press, from icons like the Air Max 95 to Y2K endeavors like the Air Max Sunder.

If there’s any upshot of that dynamic, it’s a possible lane as an “if you know, you know” sort of shoe, tucked away from the threat of oversaturation and finding a home exclusively with true enthusiasts. If you’ve got residual affinity for the TL 2.5 from its original 2006 run, this black and “Hyper Royal” addition should play into those mid-aughts sensibilities, delivering a sporty white and black foundation with waves of the titular cerulean shooting through the design from heel to toe. Dousing the full-length Air bubble in a darker tint of that same coloring closes in cohesive fashion, overall executing the same retro-futuristic atmosphere the model has majored in as it’s returned to the shelves.

The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 “Hyper Royal” should be populating Nike.com and partnering retailers as part of the ongoing Summer/Fall 2025 schedule. This pair will clock in with a $180 retail price once arrived.
