It’s been somewhat quiet for the New Balance 1906A in recent months, ceding its “shiny new toy” streak to newer propositions like the New Balance 2010 and New Balance 2000. However, the “Refined Future” series lives on via the 1906R offshoot, now priming fresh colorway options as the guardrails lift on its introductory run.
Up next are two vigorous mixes, a pair combining black and “Pink Metallic” and the other capitalizing on a far brighter profile, meshing off-white tones with highlighter green. Beginning on the former, the sheer contrast between the midnight hues and metallic rose enhances the futuristic bend of the silhouette overall. It’s especially effective on the mesh base, where the pink shines through with an almost fluorescent quality. Requisite hits of silver on the heel and a cream panel weaving across the quarter add a bit more visual depth.
Then to its sunnier counterpart, bucking the tech runner aesthetics that most previous 1906A looks so heavily relied on. Instead, it’s an entirely refined atmosphere that wins out in the aggregate, as a buttery foundation pushes even brighter with pure white leather swatches that extend beyond the sections underneath. The only pieces of vibrancy that this shoe captures come with neon green in extreme reserve duty, only seen on the ABZRB pods underfoot, contrast stitching under the collar, and a few brand trademarks.
Given that these two colorways populated retailers simultaneously, we’re prepping for the New Balance 1906A in “Pink Metallic” and white/green to land around the same time, likely as a part of the brand’s Fall 2025 offerings. A $170 retail price is likely for both.
