Everything You Need To Know About The Worksout x Nike Air Max 95

SNKRS South Korea has officially announced the Worksout x Nike Air Max 95, setting up for a May 31st release. The Olive Green pair will be available in early June at a select number of stores and channels:

North America/Latin America: SNKRS.
Europe: Patta, Slam Jam, Dover Street Market, and SNKRS.

For their first go-around as a Nike collaborator, Worksout didn’t pull any punches in taking on the iconic Air Max silhouette. Though the Air Max 95 is iconic for its layered sidewalls, the brand flattens that out entirely, replacing those wavy overlays with streamlined hardware and graphic stripes. A camouflage-like sheer pattern is planted on top, while diamond-knit mesh at the tongue mirrors the crosshatch stitching within the Swoosh. Texture leather rounds out the upper, while the enlarged Air units underfoot mark this as the first collaboration to take to the updated “Big Bubble” shape. By and large, all of these hallmark details remain for the Worksout exclusive pair in “Triple Black.”

Narratively, the shoe pulls from the Worksout founders’ personal connection to sneakers and South Korea’s affinity for the Air Max 95. While Sergio Lozano’s design is in no shortage of global appreciation, the model became a cult icon in South Korea, largely absent from retail shelves and therefore becoming a symbol of either affluence or connections outside of the country’s borders. Spinning off of that heritage, the militaristic tones of the shoe come from the high school uniform colors of the five founders of the imprint, first linking up in 1999 before eventually settling Worksout in 2007.

Finally, note that on top of the somewhat exclusive release cadence, this is a limited release. We can’t share exact stock numbers, but expect this pair to be hard to get your hands on. Again, the initial release of the Worksout Air Max 95 comes on May 31st, with a wider global drop in Europe and the United States in early June.
