In case you haven’t heard, KITH is in new digs. Well, a new version of its old digs, renovated after 8 years in operation and quite literally just re-opened to the public. For one of their most venerated partners, it’s kismet: the introduction of the New Balance 2010 provides a perfectly synergistic window to celebrate both the newest addition to the NB roster and KITH’s ultimate retail location.
To this point, the KITH New Balance 2010 has trickled out via a staggered release cadence, allowing F&F and KITH Vitality members to grab pairs on the final day before the store’s official ribbon cutting. On May 16th, the public was allowed to behold KITH Manhattan for the first time and scoop up pairs for themselves in-person, with drawings in the app opening on the same day. The major update here is the general release, coming on May 19th in “limited qualities” via the brand’s online channels and all of their in-store locations.
While the NYC imprint’s overall catalog and roster of New Balance collaborations is expansive, meaning you can find comparison points for both styles here, still they feel intentionally distinct from what we’ve come to expect. The vibrant hues on display is the most significant cause, but the inclusion of the KITH monogram within the “N” logos at either quarter panel is an extra signal of the new chapter for both companies. Again, keep your eye on the KITH app, site, and in-store locations for your chance to grab these two shoes — retail is set at $160.
