Another step in the music-meets-sneakers legacy.

Your mind may jump to the Wu Tang Dunk or Travis Scott shoes at large when it comes to the intersection between hip-hop and Nike footwear. However, the Air Force 1 has been Beaverton’s primary way to recognize the genre’s greatest for generations, seen with the Roc-A-Fella special edition crafted for the Black Album, or the Utopia pair gifted to La Flame for his fourth full-length.

For true AF1 collectors, few pairs are as legendary as the grey and pink one gifted to Terror Squad’s Macho. Flowing out from previous public drops, the “Blackout” and “Porpoise” colorways, Nike has continually celebrated that 2005 F&F/sample with scattered new palettes. First revealed by Fat Joe, the latest largely reads as classic two-tone do-up of Bruce Kilgore’s design, spread across familiar red and white. The real special edition features are slight and have their locus at the heel, with the titular group represented by a “TS” acronym. The rapper’s government name and infamous alias appears with a similar flourish: a cursive “JC” alludes to both Joseph Cartanega and Joey Crack.

When Joe teased this pair in January, our best information pointed towards an August 1st release, but generally expect a drop sometime that month. We expect a retail price of $150 —  keep tabs on this pair via our Sneaker Release Dates page, and peruse the full slate of official images just below.
