While most to all of the New Balance 1906L colorways that have hit the market to date have leaned into neutral or otherwise understated looks, the New Balance 1906 Loafer “Grey Days” fittingly sees the silhouette lean even further in that direction. A “Raincloud” grey, a shade heavily utilized in peer offerings, takes over the suede and mesh construction up top, with a slightly darker swatch splayed over the midfoot shank and rear heel. The compositional contrast that made this shoe both so divisive and such a viral sensation remains in place: tech runner bonafides surging through the profile, with a retrofitted sleek foot entrance to hit on formalwear.

As mentioned above, the “Grey Days” celebration is a month-long event, but you can argue that this is the first high-profile drop within it.
