For Ronnie Fieg, there’s a backstory to everything. For the New Balance ABZORB 2010, the convenient overlap between Kith’s founding year and the name of this fresh model hit some nostalgic notes for Fieg, motivating him to detail the design process on his personal blog like it was 2010 all over again.
It’s not often we get to see the WIP phase of sneaker collaborations, but Fieg did exactly that by revealing some raw flicks of the design process with the New Balance team (see them here). He even goes as far as showing off the entire crop of eight samples in classic Kith-style lay-down photography. Just to avoid confusion, the top two colorways in the 2×4 grid are the ones hitting retail.

The colorways are admittedly a bit Fall-adjacent, but a good sneaker really knows no seasonal bounds. Both feature dark-colored midsoles with off-colored pods at the heel, while the upper displays two different color stories. One utilizes purples and pinks against a grey mudguard and pops of soft blue, while the other remixes that a palette a bit onto a sportier black/yellow. Monogram Kith logos are debossed onto the slanted-N on the upper.
The Kith x New Balance ABZORB 2010 is set to launch exclusively at Kith in-store on May 16th, 2025. There’s plenty more to come for the New Balance 2010 model in both the in-line and collab channel, so stay tuned.
