Fresh off of delivering a lifestyle-minded collab, adidas and Brain Dead are already teasing their next steps. Teasing their Fall/Winter capsule in Paris, images of what’s in store have just surfaced, far expanding the bounds of their shared history with takes on four models.
The easiest identified of this group is the Barricade 13, a modern adidas performance model that well aligns with how tennis has lit the way for the pair’s recent output. A silver metallic edition gets more eccentric flares of brown and yellow down the midline, while the S/S energy lives on with a navy tennis ball finish on the upper of the other pair.

Another unsurprising inclusion is the Taekwondo, already an important silhouette in adidas’ recent output given its use within the Bad Bunny and KITH canons. At least in these initial images, the two colorways on tap keep to a metallic silver and black/white, with the former featuring an homage to the iconic Micropacer on the mid-foot shroud.

On the exact opposite end of the spectrum, the adidas Climacool 2 makes it return some eight years after last appearance. A Brazil-minded pair sticks out in these photos, additionally switching the mesh base layer into a thin, slitted arrangement. Just behind it, you can make out a more abstract interpretation, pinning circular breathable fabrics within a navy/orange/beige/mint layout.

Though we can make out flaming leather overlays on what appears to be the all-new adidas “Brody King,” this shoe appears to be a modified version of the Japan, a boxing boot from the 1980s. It appears that a wrestling angle is the focus based on the lucha libre-style mask.

Strategically, the unfettered access to the Three Stripes archives that Brain Dead is brandishing with this Fall/Winter capsule is yet another signal that they’re rising in the power rankings when it comes to their core collaborators. Expect further info on all of the product featured here as the year plays out, with a Q3/Q4 release likely.
