The Jordan MVP 92 Gets Doused In Desert Tans

Does Nike Air make everything better?

The Jordan MVP 92 Gets Doused In Desert Tans

The latest offshoot of the Air Jordan legacy is here. The Jordan MVP 92 (previously thought to be the Air Jordan 7 RM) is here, echoing Tinker Hatfield’s original 1992 design of the Air Jordan 7 with a complete low-top transformation.

While it’s easy to mistake the MVP 92 as an Air Jordan 7 Low, there or some more conventional design touches that, dare we say, make the more recent variety a more wearable shoe. Jordan Brand shed the interior neoprene bootie in favor of a classic tongue with the iconic “Flight” emblazoned across. Then, an external heel plate is added with, curiously enough, a Nike Air logo at the heel. Such a detail was never part of the Air Jordan 7.

There are a few tweaks on the upper that differentiate it from the parent model, while a mesh mid-foot adds breathable while also nodding to signature aspects of the Air Jordan and Air Jordan 5.

The Jordan MVP 92 will be delivered to retailers later this Summer for $140 in this new “Desert” colorway alongside a variety of others. Expect nearly a dozen pairs. See our Jordan Release Dates for ongoing updates.
