Nike execs said it would scale back heavily on its retro product such as the Dunk. Well, actions speak louder than words. We know that Nike has another exact version of the Panda Dunks coming out later this year, while a conceptualized version is also set to launch in Fall 2025 for the model’s 40th Anniversary. Clearly, the Dunk ain’t going anywhere.
This Spring/Summer, Nike unleashed a slight premium upgrade of the model featuring suede-over-leather builds. Priced at $125, the $10 bump from the standard pair seemed worth it just based of the materials and colorways alone. It’s got some of that SB flair without the fattened tongue, which means there likely is a small market for this style of the ’85 classic.
Later this season, a Black/Grey/White version is confirmed to drop, ridding the footwear of any true color immersion. It sticks to a drab triple of shades, which, for some, is its charm.
Find these on Nike.com soon for $125. Read up on the actual Panda Dunks and Red Panda Dunks while you’re at it.
