Jalen Brunson Debuts Nike Kobe 5 Protro “The Joke’s On You” PE Upon Return From Injury

The captain back. After missing 15 games due to injury, Jalen Brunson made his much-awaited return to the Knicks line-up on April 6th against the Phoenix Suns, and he made sure to have his presence as the current PE king of the Nike Kobe family known.

Already the top recipient of player-only colorways of Nike Kobe Protro footwear, the Eastern Conference All-Star debuted an all-new PE dubbed “The Joke’s On You”, characterized by the colors of the infamous Joker of Batman comics lore.

For those already tuned into the history the Black Mamba’s footwear, these are a variation of the iconic Kobe 5 “Chaos” colorway from 2010, a concept that was loosely inspired by Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the lovable antagonist in The Dark Knight.

Although Brunson could’ve sat out the rest of the season to rest up further, Jalen and the New York brass deemed it necessary to bring their clutch god back up to speed. It’s also worth noting that should Jalen finish out the rest of the season, he would qualify for NBA honors for the 2024-2025 season.
