The Lakers were on the better end of a very suspicious trade that might turn out to be the most lopsided in NBA history. The generational Luka Dončić was sent to Los Angeles in exchange for an aging Anthony Davis and a few other pieces, but the unpredictable injuries and weeks-long smear campaign that came after the swap has the Mavericks front office looking completely incompetent.
Luka and his family were initially shocked at the move, but they’ve since adapted to Californian life rather quickly. For his athletic footwear partner Jordan Brand, the timing is even better as the Jumpman is ready to launch not only his fourth signature shoe in the Jordan Luka 4, but also debut the first-ever lower-budget takedown model called the Jordan Luka .77.
Launching on April 8th, 2025 in Adult and GS sizes is this Black/Hyper Pink/Barely Green colorway; it’s got a much simpler design to match with the approachable price-tag, while Zoom Air at the fore-foot promises that the new model isn’t entirely bare-boned. The model is actually tuned for outdoor play, a huge benefit to hoopers in Asia that are more accustomed to playing on concrete rather than hardwood.
Official images of this launch colorway have surfaced, so take a closer look at stay up-to-date on all the Jumpman launches on our Jordan Release Dates page.
