Even if the Nike Air Max Plus isn’t a guest of honor for this year’s Air Max Day/Month celebrations, you can still feel its influence in the models that are. Both the Air Max Dn and consequently, the Air Max DN8 are heavily indebted to Sean McDowell’s design — the Tn can comfortably look on approvingly from the wings, even if it doesn’t have any special makeups on the docket for the 26th. What it does have in spades is a deep cadre of Gr looks as it continues on as one of the true frequent faces in the Swoosh mainline, now checking off a West Coast blend of blue and yellow.

Given the silhouette’s well-established proclivity for gradient looks, an edition coming to light that eschews them entirely is kind of worth stopping the presses for. Joining the glossy mudguard and defining TPU waves in royal blue, this upcoming edition taps into a 90s sportstyle look that’s only furthered by the white anchoring on the mesh base layer and the hemispherical midsole. Pops of yellow surrounding the Swoosh, on the tongue and on the duo of Air Max Plus branding hits round out the “Rams” look we allude to, perfect for any West Coasters or for the upcoming Summer season in general.
