This Nike Air Max 1 “Light Armory Blue” Is A Spring/Summer Essential

The one that set the whole Air Max legacy in motion is rightfully getting the attention it deserves during Air Max Month. With collaborations with Supreme and the Low Poly Air Max 1 “Big Head Origins” keeping AM1 fanatics impressed, Nike is supplementing the month’s offerings with a fresh batch of in-line styles direct from the source.

This newly dropped “Light Armory Blue” echoes the idea that what might’ve been an instant hit decades ago seems somewhat pedestrian today. Two-toned suede uppers, a white sport mesh base, and a mini-check at the toe was all that was required to satisfy appetites; in 2025, it’s a very common “GR” that Nike wishes to make available for everyone.

It’s a true double-edged sword: while we appreciate the ease of getting a pair, Nike has to be aware that the Air Max 1 gained status the first time around because it wasn’t meant for everyone. That nuance is what is underpinning the brand’s troubles over the last couple of years, and what will be their trust test in the years to come.

But, we digress. If you’re in the market for a new pair of Ones, you can get them now directly from Nike for $140; unisex sizing is available.
