Breakdown Of The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 “Brick By Brick”
The “Brick By Brick” Jordan 4 is inspired by, well, bricks. The theme pulls from Nigel’s upbringing in Queens, New York, reflecting his philosophy of building success from the ground-up.
A burnt “Firewood Orange” color envelops almost the entire shoe, save for “Sail” on the custom “Bike Air” heel and center portion of the midsole. Soft nubuck does most of the heavy lifting up top, complemented by a tactile leather toe cap meant to evoke the look and feel of bricks. The sneaker is accompanied by a lineup of apparel, including jackets, tees, bike pants, and long-sleeve jerseys.
Marketing For The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 “Brick By Brick”
Consumer energy surrounding the Nigel Sylvester 4s has been nothing short of astounding, so much so that it’s already in contention for the 2025 Sneaker Of The Year crown. Part of that can be attributed to the slew of activations Nigel and Jordan Brand have put on in the lead-up. In January, Nigel gave out free tees from a brick truck in SoHo and then put on a fashion show at The Standard in NYC, showcasing the sneaker’s accompanying apparel. Jordan athlete Travis Kelce was spotted wearing the Brick Red 4s at the Super Bowl in February, and more recently, LeBron James and WWE superstar Roman Reigns have popped out with the collab ahead of the launch.
