Updated April 3th, 2025: A closer look at the upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” has been revealed; the shoes were spotted on the feet of Korean rapper/artist J-Hope who shared another look on his Instagram stories. Read below for our original coverage of the shoes.

The below article was originally published on March 7th, 2025.
Jordan Brand’s 2025 slate of release is stacked to the brim of heavy hitters, and it just added one centered around the booming cultural city of the Far East. The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” is indeed set to release in mid-May, bringing an updated design inspired by the colors of the country flag with added details that call back to South Korean heritage.
Originally releasing back in 2018, the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” was inspired by the country’s hosting of the 1988 Olympic Games. It was a highly limited drop that was available exclusively in the Korean capital; it is unclear how many pairs were in circulation. In 2020, Jordan Brand re-released the same shoe in women’s sizing only.
Here’s what’s similar to the original Air Jordan 3 “Seoul”; it features a similar white/blue/red/black colorway with Nike Air on the tongue and the Korean flag symbolized on the tongue. What’s updated is the yellow-tinted midsole at the mid-foot and heel and the solid grey bottom outsole. They mid-foot and upper eyelets have also been swapped to white, while the classic elephant print on the 1.0 version has been changed to a more aged, vintage-appropriate look.
The royal blue ankle collar also swaps out the material from leather to a stitched cotton that calls back to traditional Korean garments. The original Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” also had Korean writing stitched behind the tongue; according to newly revealed images in late March, the words “꿈” (dream) and “정” (affection) appear on the left and right tongues (from the wearer’s POV).
According to @zsneakerheadz, the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” is set to launch on May 15th, 2025; stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates for regular updates on this Korea-inspired colorway.
