Andrew Rizzo Amsterdam fashion label Daily Paper is following up its debut Converse collaboration from late 2024 with another two-pack in March. After taking on the Chuck 70, focus has now shifted to one of the OG basketball sneaker’s many sibling models; the Star Player 76.
The Star Player 76 was just the second Converse sneaker to feature the now-iconic star and chevron logo, arriving in 1976 on the heels of the All Star Pro Leather from a year prior. Daily Paper is touching down with high and low-top styles, both of which release via converse.com on March 27th.
Starting first with the low-top, the Daily Paper founders communicate their shared African heritage through Pan-African flag colors. The star and chevron appear in yellow and red, complemented by additional red, yellow, and green stars on the medial side.
Moving onto the high-top, the brand opts for a neutral greyscale design featuring leather, suede, and a unique woven mesh tongue. Leather sidewalls are complemented by suede eyelets stripes and floating stars on the medial side. Both styles feature shaggy white laces, translucent outsoles, and Daily Paper branding on the tongue, heel, and insoles.
