The 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 4 is in the rear view, but don’t expect Jordan Brand to pull their current belle of the ball off the shelves so soon. Between the Air Jordan 4 “White Cement,” Jordan 4 “Aluminum,” and Nigel Sylvester’s Jordan 4 “Brick by Brick,” there’s plenty to look forward if you’re among the silhouette’s fanbase. Unexpectedly, we’re also getting a sequel effort for one of the more polarizing shoes of 2024 — first looks at the Air Jordan 4 NET “Black” have just landed.
In broad strokes, the shoe’s description is the same: the AJ4 construction stays static below the quarter, but above it, the iconic netting window sizes up and goes fully unchained, stretching above the tongue, well beyond the laces and enveloping the space in between. Though in these shots the laces branch across this revamped grid pattern, they’re merely a suggestion in truth.
With both an unenthusiastic public reaction (to put it lightly) and muted gray market performance, the original Jordan 4 NET in “Phantom” pretty clearly stands as a more of a swing and a miss. However, perhaps tapping into this all-black formula will reverse the course, especially given that the tonal treatment made the Black Cat 4s one of the defining modern looks for the shoe.
The Air Jordan 4 NET “Black” hits Nike.com and retailers on February 26th, commanding a $215 MSRP upon arrival. Catch the full suite of images included below — you can catch additional updates on this pair’s launch via our Jordan Release Dates 2025 landing page.
