Teased by Nike athlete Sha’Carri Richardson back in late 2024, the Nike Air Superfly is now set to return to shelves for the first time ever. The low-profile racing trainer from 2000 is being touted as a Sportswear shoe this time around, taking aim at Y2K fashionistas who champion footwear of the sleek, minimalistic variety.
The Superfly was originally reported to return in early January, but the model is now scheduled to hit retailer partners on January 28th before releasing via SNKRS on February 7th. We got first looks at a handful of upcoming colorways shortly after Sha’Carri tipped off the Superfly’s return, and then a SNKRS Showcase gave some context to the bring back effort.
This “Cyber” colorway is one of the most eccentric we’ve seen thus far, with the titular neon green hue appearing on the tongue and midsole. Shimmery “Metallic Silver” wraps the sidewalls, which are perforated for breathability, while light blue “Skylight” lands on portions of the segmented outsole. The Swoosh and laces come in “Lemon” yellow, and fiery red accents land on the front portion of the tread underfoot.
A specific release date for the “Cyber” Nike Superfly has yet to be announced, but it’s expected to land during the Spring 2025 shopping season. The model runs exclusively in women’s sizing and retails for $100; quite a bargain in today’s economy. See official retailer images below if you’re considering copping.
