Dip back into our archives on the Air Jordan 1 Low and you’ll find more playful colorways than nearly anywhere else in the greater Nike, Inc. catalog. Especially when it comes to kids-exclusives, Beaverton designers aren’t afraid to roll out wild designs just for kicks (rimshot.) The latest addition into that crop is a fungi-inspired edition, rolling out in Grade School sizing shortly.
The shot at the top of this page does well to foreground the central aspect, a set of lace charms that combine to create a googly-eyed fly agaric. Work your way back through the shoe and you’ll find that it’s likely forest flora in general that guides this design; embroidered plantlife on the heel counter and wood patterning towards the toe-box and on the tongue further that idea. For our purposes, hyper-fixated on hardware and the finer details, the bar lace-locks may be the most intriguing aspect here, a spring-loaded clip that to our knowledge hasn’t appeared on an Air Jordan 1 before.
Your motive may vary on what sticks out most with this pair, but again the Air Jordan 1 Low serves up a detail-heavy edition that should play well in the world of kids shoes. Expect this pair to hit Nike.com and retailers as we enter the bulk of Spring/Summer 2025. Retail pricing isn’t confirmed at this stage, but something in the $90 – $110 range should be expected.
