2005 was a massive year for Nike SB, with the Beaverton brand’s skate division releasing grail-tier SB Dunk collaborations like the Pigeons, Tiffanys, and Stüssy Cherrys to name a few. For our purposes, 2005 was also the year that birthed the SB Blazer Mid.
The skate-minded, restructured version of the 1972 basketball shoe was brought to life by Lance Mountain, who recalled skaters wearing Blazers in skate magazines back in the 70s and 80s. Twenty years later, the model is still riding strong and remains a staple at skate shops across the globe.
For Spring 2025, Nike SB has released a “Dusty Amethyst” colorway featuring a suede upper and black hits on the Swoosh, heel panel, and midsole. There’s nothing groundbreaking about a two-tone SB Blazer Mid, but subjectively speaking, these are plenty clean.
Unisex sizes are available now via nike.com and appear to be moving quickly, so you’re advised to cop sooner rather than later if interested. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links and head to our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming skate shoes.
Speaking of which, Paul Rodriguez’s Nike SB P-Rod 1 is returning in 2025.
