The lifespan of the Nike Air Max Plus Drift continues on. After somewhat disappearing from the newswire in the back half of 2024, our confirmation that the take on the Tn wasn’t being phased out came via the Nike Air Max 90 Drift, confirming the sub-head as an overarching futuristic endeavor, not just a one-off version of the Plus. The goal in 2025 is to capitalize on the potential the silhouette flashed around the time of its introduction, perhaps something beloved “Bred” coloring will help achieve.
The bulky TPU body of the Plus Drift makes it particularly suited for these sorts of stealthy editions, carrying a serious bit of menace with its jet-black upper. Additional flares of fire red on the tongue, heel counter and interrupting the midsole pay off the “Bred” moniker promised up top, structurally differentiating it from the “Triple Black” variation that came about in Summer ’24.
So will the silhouette capture audiences the way it did when first look images surfaced? Only time will tell, but Nike revisiting one of its most infamous colorways on the shoe shows that it’s clearly a focus. The Nike Air Max Plus Drift “Bred’ releases this Spring, retailing for $185 upon arrival.
