This upcoming Shox Ride 2 isn’t a collaboration with Nike ACG, but we’d be remiss not to point out its likeminded, outdoorsy aesthetic. In the wake of a brown leather colorway and paint-splattered look, Nike is continuing to get experimental on the quirky 2000s runner with more entirely new textures.
Mesh is dropped in favor of grid-patterned ripstop here, presented on the forefoot portion as well as the underlays that peek through the mudguard. The collar and eyelet sections are comprised of “Light Bone” suede in alignment with the rest of the upper, contrasted by all-black treatments across the lower half. Much like we see on Nike ACG shoes, small pops of bright yellow conjure a retro hiking vibe. The tongue/heel Shox branding and visible forefoot Air unit tastefully work in the accent color, as do trail-worthy rope laces.
The Shox Ride 2 “Light Bone/Black” is due out Spring 2025 for $190 and will be available via select boutiques. See official retailer images below if you’re considering scooping up a pair.
